Look forward to our Keynote by Markus Michalewicz, Vice President of Product Management at Oracle, who explains the latest capabilities for managing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in the cloud, on-premises, and in multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud configurations.

"Who knows? – The DOAG Edition" promises to be a new entertainment highlight on the first evening of the conference. DOAG 2023 Database with Exaday – Highlights

Database

SQL monitoring – also called real-time monitoring – has become one of the most important tools in the field of database monitoring and database tuning. In the lecture "Real-Time Monitoring – THE Performance Monitoring Tool" by Ulrike Schwinn, the technology is presented and demonstrated – with a focus on the Linemode variant.

On the topic "Database security, but what about performance?" Stefan Oehrli shows to what extent Oracle's functions and options for comprehensive database protection are transparent and what influence they have on the performance of the databases.

In his talk "Gateway to hell – Network Basics for DBAs, DEVs and DevOps" Martin Klier wants to invite all DBAs, developers and DevOps to rediscover the basics of network technology for themselves.

"23c beta-test – ah, that’s how it works..." is the title of Axel vom Stein’s exciting session on Thursday, in which he discusses how to become a beta-tester and how to proceed in the event of a hopefully successful agreement.

On Wednesday and Thursday, you will experience three sessions dealing with Oracle Optimizer as well as three sessions each dealing with PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Again, this year there will be a beginner-level stream with fourteen interesting presentations on

Wednesday and Thursday in Room Amsterdam 1. These lectures are aimed at beginners who want to familiarize themselves with the technology of the Oracle database. No specific Oracle database knowledge is required.

Engineered Systems

You can look forward to 15 presentations on the topic of Engineered Systems.

The highlights include:

"Exadata in the cloud – with more flexibility and scalability". In his presentation, Frank Schneede uses practical cases to describe the new opportunities that Exadata offers in the cloud in terms of flexibility and scalability.

"Knowledge Exchange of the Engineered Systems & Exadata Product Management Working Group". On Wednesday, Frank Schneede & Stefan Panek would like to take the opportunity to intensively exchange knowledge. This is the place where you can exchange with colleagues about current features.

"Exadata: Strategy and Roadmap for New Technologies, Cloud, and On-Premises" by Alex Blyth. This presentation provides an overview of current and future Exadata features, including cloud, hybrid, on-premises and autonomous database technologies.
