The bilingual APEX connect 2024 will take place from April 22 to 24 at the Van der Valk Airporthotel in Düsseldorf – with renowned keynote speakers from the USA and Finland, the legendary APEX developer team and many international experts (see below for more information).

The US American and inventor of APEX, Michael Hichwa, and Heli Helskyaho from Finland will be attending the anniversary edition in Düsseldorf with exciting keynotes in their luggage.

Heli has earned a reputation as an outstanding personality in the world of databases and technology as a whole. As the founder of her own consulting firm, she specializes in Oracle databases. She is considered a mentor and role model and is known for her commitment to the advancement of women in the technology industry. Her keynote, with the participation of her son, will focus on generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLM) and vectors and how they can be used in APEX. 

The topic of Michael's keynote has not yet been officially confirmed. But with the editorial he recently published in Red Stack Magazine No. 2/2024 on the Business News cover topic The Magic of APEX (from p. 42, in German language only), the wait for it can be endured and in this "very personal report" you can learn the complete history of the Oracle wonder tool in passing.

The start of the anniversary edition with the Bootcamp & Solutions Day is completely new. On Bootcamp Day, APEX beginners will experience onboarding by experts from the community. The beginner lectures of the Bootcamp Day build on each other and also offer the opportunity to do exercises with the laptop yourself. In the Solutions sessions, developers will present their customer solutions based on APEX.

The DevTalks will again offer 1-to-1 sessions with the APEX team: Ask your questions, get the solution – the experts will be on hand to answer your questions. You can also get to know them personally.

A highly discussed and hot topic in APEX, which is reflected accordingly in the program: Template Components. A template component plug-in allows you to display your own data without having to know much about the plug-in architecture. Low-code at its best, so to speak!

The classic topics of the APEX conference – APEX, PL/SQL and JavaScript – can be enjoyed to the full on days 2 and 3, i.e. from morning to night.

Attention! On the evening of day 2, the Apollo Varieté will welcome APEX connect guests from 6:30 pm for a first-class evening full of emotion in a thrilling show. By the way, early risers can get the day off to a sporty start with a 5 km fun run.
