The event

The DOAG 2024 Database with Exaday will take place on May 15 and 16, 2024 at the
Van der Valk Airporthotel Düsseldorf.

Look forward to the keynote "Enabling Generative AI with Oracle AI Vector Search" by Shasank Chavan, Vice President of Data, In-Memory and AI Technologies Group at Oracle.

"Who knows? - The DOAG Edition, third edition" promises to be again a entertainment highlight on the first evening of the conference. In this quiz, as in the well-known German television quiz show, two teams compete against each other in different question categories. Of course, the teams don't know the questions or the categories. And as in the original, the audience can participate and support the teams.

After the quiz, a joint evening event in the Atrium awaits you with plenty of opportunity for personal exchange and networking.

To kick off on May 15 expect the exciting keynote "Enabling Generative-AI with Oracle AI Vector Search" by Shasank Chavan, Vice President of the Data, In-Memory and AI Technologies group at Oracle

Markus Michalewicz will show you in his two sessions "High Availability, Scalability and Disaster Recovery with Oracle Database 23c" and "Imagine you would do it anyway!" the latest on the Oracle database.

In the session of Mughees Minhas "Reinventing Database Monitoring and Performance Diagnostics with AI" you can learn how Oracle is integrating with AI and machine learning to change the old paradigm of Oracle Database monitoring and performance analysis.

In their lecture "Oracle DBMS meets Generative AI: from Text-to-SQL to Vector DB" Dr. Corrado de Bari and John Lathouwers explain why Generative AI and its applications have expanded beyond the exclusive domain of data scientists and the traditional tools of machine learning.

"Is PostgreSQL catching up with the Oracle Database?" is the topic of the session of Ludovico Caldara.

Prof. Daniel Morgan will include in his seminar "Oracle Database Attack Surface Reduction" a live-in-SQL*Plus demo of an attack as well as examples of how attackers defeat LDAP, end-point monitoring and firewalls and how to make the database more resilient.

A total of 17 lectures of the Database Beginners Stream in room Amsterdam 2 are deliberately aimed at beginners.
